Hi,

I understand this is a german speaking review site but for those who can only speak in English and come accross this pathetic excuse of a scam will want to read on.

My partner and I had the unfortunate expereince of being locked out of our appartment recently, we contacted the locksmith in the hope of regaining access to our appartment and thus our own set of keys.

My partner spoke to them, They were to arrive within 15 minutes and "Sort out" a price on arrival even though my partner asked how much it would cost.

The locksmith arrived on time, entered the building with us and proceeded to "look" and the door and give it a slight push to maybe reassure himself that it was indeed a door. He then quoted us a price of €224 euro to simply open the door while trying not to damage it.

We then asked where the absurd figure of 225 euro was gotten from, after a few mumblings from the employee i picked up on Tax as well as "depending on the door".

My Girlfriend proceeded to argue about this price and offered to speak with his boss on the phone which she did. The following conversation was quite something to behold. The "boss" proceeded to shout at his "customer" claiming that the price is what it is and its standard proceedure.

We then quickly online found another locksmith whom we rang and gave us a quote for 40 Euro to open the door with no hidden charges.

The employee had no words for this. We then asked the 40 Euro locksmith to come aid us. The 225 Euro locksmith then had the audacity to ask for a standing fee for "his" time wasted. of 35 Euro (surely this falls under occupational hazard?)

In order to prevent any issues with German law we decided to pay him, He did not have any change for 50 Euro (Huh?) so instead wrote on some sort of receipt form that we must pay the money and left it at that.

Needless to say I will not be paying these crooks a penny.

Do not use this service if you can help it.

Plain and simple fraud which exploites a loophole in the system.

Th elaw sound protect people from these expenses, What if a pensioner on 150 Euro a week came in contact with them and had to pay this fee?
