Große Übertreibung in Reparaturkostenkalkulation

I have a serious complain against Enterprise-Rent-A-Car. I rented a car for the weekend, because I had book earlier I was upgraded which was a nice thing and paid just about 5 Euros extra. I took what was known as "selbsbeteiligung bis 2000 Euro" cover. Unfortunately for me, where I parked the car, someone had made a couple of lines scratch on the left side of the bumper possibly in trying to park in or out. This could not have been from me because the car has got parking sensors both infront and back and I never at any point parked close to any object or car. When I saw the scratches, first thing was make pictures of it (see pictures), and upon returning the car I called the attention of the rental agent about my predicament. To be frank these scratches could easily have been polished or T-cut, since it was just paints from the other vehicle but I did not have the right to do that because it was a rented car.
Now the interesting part of it, my credit card was instantly charged 2000Euros (selbsbeteiligung) and I was told I will get a letter on the repair estimates in two weeks. I was due to go on holiday so I requested them to E-Mail me the repair cost calculation. To my greatest surprise, I received a bill of 1091 Euros (including tax) for the repairs. I immediately called Enterprise to inform them I will be contesting the amount, and I was told on the phone I should not even bother to contest the decision because nobody has ever contested and won and beside that the estimate was carried out by a TUV certified specialist, in case of any doubts I should contact him, which I did, and the explanation I got was that the complete bumper needs to be taken out to effect the repairs and was talking of things that were not related to the scratch and furthermore, if I needed any explanation I should contact Enterprise directly and not him.
I showed the pictures of the scratch to an independent accident specialist in Leipzig and was told there is no way "AT ALL" the repair could exceed 500Euros for the scratch on the bumper in any worst case scenario. Maybe am blond or am having a blond moment, can someone explain to a layman how you will repair a couple of scratches on a bumper for almost a 1000Euros, please bear in mind we are not talking of a dent here, or a completely new bumper, but a couple of lines scratches (paints) from the other vehicle.
My attempts to get Enterprise Rent a Car to review this cost calculation has been futile and I need further advise on how to proceed with my case. I have contacted Verbraucher central and will continue to publish my case in any online media on the web as well as any TV channels that are prepared to listen to my story and call on the attention of any customer who has had a similar issue and also warn future customers on the swindling methods of Enterprise as well as on "Rook Traders Magazines" and the company will be shamed internationally for exploiting customers when it comes to repair cost estimates. There are also similar cases in the UK. This is a complete rip-off of customer because they cannot fight these corporate giants.
